This week I took myself along to Watermead Park, Leicester where the UK Newfoundland Club were conducting water tests for dogs of all abilities. ‘Newfies’ are one of the largest of the dog breeds; known for their strength, gentle nature and water rescue abilities. They are aided in this last regard due to their webbed feet and thick waterproof double coat. Here is a selection of portraits and action shots from the first day.
